Privacy policy

LegalUpdated 14 August 2026

The short version: we collect as little as we can get away with, we don't sell any of it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

01

Who we are

Magnimont (“we”, “us”) operates this website. For anything in this policy you can reach us at [email protected].

02

What we collect

When you contact us

If you email us or use a form, we receive whatever you send - typically your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project. We use it to reply to you and, if we end up working together, to run the project.

When you just visit

Basic analytics: pages viewed, rough location at country level, referring site, and general device and browser type. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build profiles.

When you apply for a job

Applications are kept for the duration of the hiring process. If you aren’t hired, we keep your details for up to twelve months in case something more suitable opens up, unless you ask us not to.

03

Why we're allowed to

  • To reply to you. You contacted us, so we have a legitimate interest in answering.
  • To deliver work. Where we have a contract with you, processing is necessary to perform it.
  • Analytics and non-essential cookies. Only with your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie notice.
04

Who else sees it

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf - site hosting, email, and analytics. They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell personal data, and we never trade it.

We will disclose data if we are legally required to, and we’ll tell you unless we’re legally prevented from doing so.

05

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that go nowhere: up to 24 months.
  • Client records: for the length of the engagement plus whatever period tax and accounting rules require.
  • Job applications: up to 12 months after the process closes.
  • Analytics: aggregated, retained up to 26 months.
06

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold on you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it over in a portable format, or object to us processing it at all. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it whenever you like.

Email [email protected] and we’ll action it within 30 days. There’s no charge. If you think we’ve handled it badly you can complain to your local data protection authority.

07

Cookies

Covered separately in the cookie policy, which lists exactly what gets set and how to turn it off.

08

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and we review that access periodically. No system is perfect - if a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you and the relevant authority within the timeframes we’re required to.

09

Children

This site isn’t aimed at anyone under 16 and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.

10

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. For anything significant we’ll say so clearly on the site rather than quietly editing the page.
